Operation Christmas Child

For the ninth consecutive year, UNEX Manufacturing has taken part in Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is an event sponsored and run by Samaritan’s Purse. Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine. During Operation Christmas Child, gift boxes are donated by individuals and groups throughout the country. These gift boxes are donated to needy children and families during the holiday season.

UNEX’s own Mark Ferrar traveled to the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Charlotte, North Carolina with boxes full of presents donated by the UNEX family. He and 2,000 other volunteers from around the region helped to process and distribute around two million gift boxes over the course of six weeks. Between the six processing centers in the United States, Operation Christmas Child has successfully distributed approximately 9.8 million gift boxes to children in need around the world.

For UNEX Manufacturing, the holiday season is all about giving back. We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful cause year after year. To learn more about Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan’s Purse, you can visit their website here.
